Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh was declared Egypt’s leading spa resort in the 2005 annual World Travel Awards, held at London’s Royal Opera House on November 13. The selection was based on the feedback of travel agents and travel professionals worldwide who were invited to vote on-line to nominate the world’s best in the travel industry. The Awards, which first began in 1993, have become a benchmark for excellence in the industry. This year’s voting campaign reached 176,000 travel professionals, including 110,000 travel agents throughout 200 countries. “We are highly delighted to have been recognised for this prestigious award,” said Matthias Kiehm, general manager of the 136-room resort. “It’s a wonderful endorsement by travel industry professionals who are highly critical in their judgment. Equally, it is testament to the outstanding service we provide our guests and the continued dedication of our staff,” he added. Located ten minutes drive from Sharm El Sheikh airport, the Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh offers dining, spa and fitness facilities, and a diving centre. The hotel has 136-rooms, including 27 suites, 12 of which have private plunge pools. The Daniela Steiner beauty and wellness spa offers a lap pool, private spa rooms and outdoor massage areas. The resort also boasts a large, freeform swimming pool, whirlpool and children’s pool.
