E-TQM College, the Dubai-based electronic college specialising in online programmes in total quality management, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Universal Knowledge Solutions (UKS), a regional educational solutions provider. The MoU is aimed at opening up better opportunities in providing quality learning to all individuals aspiring to specialise in quality management as well as those associated with its implementation. The MoU, which was signed by Dr. Mansour Al Awar, vice president of e-TQM College and Dr. Milad Sebaaly, CEO of Universal Knowledge Solutions, enhances mutual cooperation between both parties to provide e-learning programs to private and public organisations as well as individuals. “The College is vigorously pursuing its drive to further awareness on the importance of adopting best quality practices among all members of society in the region. The MoU with UKS comes as a major boost to our efforts as it will significantly accelerate our pace towards disseminating quality principles to enhance knowledge and upgrade skills of students and professionals alike. We feel an immense need at the time being to keep pace with global rapid developments to sharpen the competitive edge of the different industries in the region,” says Dr. Al Awar. The areas of collaboration include assisting e-TQM college with building an adequate and updated virtual e-learning environment for the professional programs. In addition, e-TQM College and UKS will come together for content digitisation for theses programs and to provide expertise on issues relevant to online learning. “It is a matter of pride to collaborate with a regional pioneer as e-TQM College. At UKS, we choose leading organisations that share with us same vision and objectives to partner with. We feel this MoU will go a long way in catering to the growing educational needs of the region and providing ideal e-learning opportunities to members of the student and business communities in the Middle East who wish to go further in TQM and implementation studies. We will join hands with the college in several areas including content development, technology deployment and marketing the newly created programs,” says Dr. Milad Sebaaly. UKS will also help e-TQM College with market analysis that will be done on segmenting the market for these courses.
