Enterprise software provider MRO, has successfully completed its ‘Maximo Impact’ conference in Dubai. Over 400 users and fifteen of the company’s regional channel partners attended the event. MRO also released the latest version of its enterprise software solution at the event. Joe Baah, regional director at MRO Middle East and Africa explained how the conference helped to boost customers’ confidence in its partners. “There are some regions where we are still growing and potential investors don’t want to be seen as the only ones using our software, so coming to an event like this helps them to see that we actually have a large presence and customer base here in the region. We cannot fly our experts out to every implementation that we have, so the partners get a lot of high level contact with our specialists at the event,” said Baah. The Maximo Impact conference also included presentations from leading management experts, including senior executives from MRO and management from IBM, BP and other regionally based organisations. The conference was split over two days; the first day looking at the benefits that Maximo has in IT asset management, infrastructure libraries and service management as well as seeing the launch of a new Maximo Enterprise Suite. The second day was split into sessions assessing specific topics. MRO hailed the event a great success and a key move to strengthen its position in the Middle East. “A lot of companies are trying to consolidate systems and have one platform to control all of their assets from their IT to their wider commodities, for example their vehicles. There’s a great deal of movement in this territory towards companies having an organised service approach, rather than a reactive one, and we are confident our channel excels in providing this,” concluded Baah.
