AMD’s new partner initiative aims to increase collaboration and innovation among the vendor’s growing worldwide ecosystem of VARs, integrators and distributors working on AMD64 solutions. Components vendor AMD has unveiled its commercial channel access programme, designed to enhance and extend the company’s commitment to partners’ business needs. The new programme aims to encourage collaboration and innovation among the growing worldwide AMD64 ecosystem of systems integrators, value-added resellers and distributors. “In the Middle East, we are seeing a growing emphasis and focus among systems distributors, VARs and systems integrators and the new AMD commercial channel access programme will go beyond just offering incentives and will help us to work closely and collaboratively with these partners,” said Pierre Brunswick, regional sales director, Russia, CIS, Middle East and Africa at AMD. “This means that end-customers will have increased support for AMD64-based solutions. Ultimately this will help enable partners bring a higher level of value to their customers,” he added. Specific benefits on offer as part of the programme include web-based self-service access to resources and education through the AMD access portal, distributed channel communications including newsletters and alerts, AMD product information, white paper and success story templates, partner solution registration, joint customer solution pilots, channel specific marketing support and access to the AMD business development team. Additional benefits include field-based channel account managers, opportunities to collaborate with AMD and its ISV community as well as AMD-supported campaigns. AMD also plans to establish a commercial channel council where participants will share their views and can gain insights into AMD plans.
