Sony is giving regional PSP users a chance to save some cash during the holiday season with the launch of a limited edition PSP pack, called the Giga Pack. Much like the PSP Value Pack launched in September, the new Giga Pack includes a battery pack, AC adapter, headphones and a black pouch. However, new additions include a console stand, USB cable, and the gizmo that inspired the pack’s name- a 1GB Memory Stick Pro Duo. The firm claims this allows users to store and play over 30 hours of their favourite music, store and view over 500 digital photos, and play two movies back to back. Sony’s new 1GB add-on is an alternative to the 32MB memory stick included in the previous $272 Value Pack. According to Sony, users who have already purchased the PSP Value Pack and wish to upgrade their storage can buy this 1GB memory card separately for $119. The Giga Pack will be available across the region from the 28th of November for approximately $340, while the firm’s 1GB memory card will be in stores in early November. Sony also plans to release a host of new games during the holiday season including Pursuit Force, Grand Theft Auto and Liberty City Stories.
