International Aeradio Limited (IAL) is working through the pile of leads it generated at this year’s Gitex. As well as meeting potential new customers, IAL also made contact with potential distributors and resellers from across the GCC and Africa at this year’s show. IAL reckons it picked up hundreds of new leads at the show. IAL is a subsidiary of London-quoted service company Serco. The company offers consultancy, design, procurement, installation, maintenance, training and lifecycle support for solutions in a number of vertical markets including telecommunications, aeronautical systems, enforcement systems, marine electronics, navigation and communication systems. “We have successfully generated enquiries to conduct new product trials for a number of high profile clients including Tecom, Adnoc, Defense, Etisalat and Emirates Group,” said Shrinivas Ainapure, general manager at IAL. “Furthermore, we are confident that we will soon be announcing the sign up of several new systems integrators in the coming months.” “Gitex 2005 was hugely successful compared to previous years in terms of potential customers to our stand, visitors from new segments, interest shown in our new products exhibited and in the number of sales leads generated,” Ainapure added. IAL demonstrated several cutting-edge solutions at Gitex alongside partners such as telecommunications and data networks vendor ADC Krone. The two companies demonstrated ADC Krone’s CopperTen structured cabling system, which they billed as the first solution in the world to include 10 Gbytes/s capabilities over unshielded twisted pair (UTP). Also on display were fibre to the home solutions and demonstrations of wireless broadband connectivity using ADC Krone’s Wi-Fi network. Last but not least, visitors to Gitex also got to grips SG1, ADC Krone’s internet service gateway. IAL’s customer base already includes Etisalat, Adnoc, Tecom, Emaar, Dubai Police and the Ministry of Interior.
