Campaign Awards to celebrate region’s best

Details of how to enter the inaugural Campaign Awards are revealed today. Areas covered include advertising creativity, media planning, PR and marketing. The Awards, which will be overseen by Unilever Middle East chairman Jan Zijderveld, take place on 31 January. The closing date for entries is 7 December. There will be three agency of the year categories — for the best media agency, advertising agency and PR agency. And two individuals will receive special recognition — the young creative of the year and the marketer of the year. The event will have a strong emphasis on advertising creativity. Categories covered include best campaigns for TV, radio, print, outdoor, online, DM and online, along with a category recognising the best integrated campaign. A grand prix award will be given to the very best entry overall. The judging panel will consist of both local and international jurors, with creative, media, PR and marketing backgrounds. Zijderveld said: “The Awards have been initiated to allow the best ads and their creators to be recognised, regardless of any politics or personal relations.” A copy of the entry form has been inserted in today’s edition and provides details of how to enter.
