OnLine and Orthogon ink distribution deal

OnLine Distribution will be responsible for promoting and selling Orthogon Systems' broadband wireless technology to a variety of industries.

OnLine Distribution, a Middle East distributor for networking products and solutions, has signed an agreement with Orthogon Systems, a global supplier of point-to-point broadband wireless Ethernet bridges. Under the agreement, OnLine Distribution will be responsible for promoting and selling specialised broadband wireless technology from Orthogon Systems to a variety of industries. There will also be focused campaigns targeting organisations in the telecommunications, corporate enterprise and government sectors. Liberalisation in the regional ISP sector promises to improve the prospects of wireless technology vendors in the Middle East. Orthogon’s technology enables wireless connectivity across long distances, including large bodies of water and around obstacles such as mountains or tall buildings. Sushma Kajaria, sales manager in the Security Business Unit at OnLine Distribution believes Orthogon complements OnLine’s current wireless offerings. “It is another example of OnLine offering the latest innovations in the Middle East market. We are now in a position to offer best-of-breed wireless solutions to our partners, and provide them with an important edge in their technology offerings.” The deal with see OnLine Distribution offer Orthogon Systems’ latest set of point-to-point, Non-Line-of-Sight solutions across the Middle East, including the OS-Spectra, OS-Gemini and OS-Gemini Lite systems. In addition, as part of an ongoing partner development scheme, OnLine Distribution and Orthogon Systems plan to offer regional training programmes for both resellers and end users.
