Epson hosts Gala Awards

Epson rewarded its Middle East channel partners’ hard work and efforts over the last year with its fourth annual ‘Epson Gala Awards’ dinner recently.

Epson rewarded its Middle East channel partners’ hard work and efforts over the last year with its fourth annual ‘Epson Gala Awards’ dinner recently. The printing solutions vendor presented a number of its distributors and channel partners from across the region with awards. The prizes were handed out by Khalil El-Dalu, general manager at Epson Middle East. Also in attendance was Nick Butler, managing director at Epson UK. The winners were crowned with Epson ‘Appreciation Awards’ in recognition of their outstanding performance in a number of business areas. The full list of winners included; Egyptian Micro Solutions, Egypt, which walked off with the award for performance in market development; Carrefour UAE, which won best hypermarket, whilst Yusuf Ahmed Alganim of Kuwait took best retail outlet. Almoe Trading UAE picked up the award for multimedia video projector sales, Despec Mera UAE gained the prize for supplies and sales performance and Al Yousuf Digital UAE took the accolade for product management and logistics. Outstanding performance in large format printers was given to Ahmad Abdul Wahed in Saudi Arabia and Iran Office Machines Co picked up the prize for marketing Epson products. SaudiSoft, Saudi Arabia, and Hitco of Syria both bagged awards for outstanding performance in laser sales, and H.M.H. Establishment in the UAE gained outstanding achievement in retail point of sales systems. Loay International in Oman and Computer Land of Bahrain won awards for their performance in sales of a mix of products. Team Epson partner of the year went to Asma Computers of Egypt, whilst the Business Partner of the Year award was given to AlAfaaq Al Alamiah of Saudi Arabia. Thirteen individuals also received Certificates of Appreciation for their ‘excellent performance, individual achievement and support of Epson throughout the year’. “The performance of our Middle East distributors has been remarkable over the years, ensuring Epson’s steady market growth across all product categories. These awards are a recognition of their contribution towards strengthening Epson’s brand image and introducing our range of products to consumers in the region,” said El-Dalu.
