Updates at Al Tayer Group

The Dubai-based conglomerate automates finance, logistics and warehouse management processes with software updates.

Al Tayer Group has completed a significant update of its enterprise applications to the latest version of Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne enterprise resource planning system in order to increase operational efficiency, increase productivity and gain greater visibility of its core business processes. Al Tayer Group, a prominent player in the automotive, engineering, fashion and jewellery, interiors and contracting, perfume and cosmetics, publishing as well as real estate, travel and logistic sectors, has been a JD Edwards EnterpriseOne for several years and has decided to upgrade to the latest release, having gained confidence in the roadmap for the product group set out by Oracle. Dubai-based system integrator Mitchell & Associates installed the system to help Al Tayer Group to maximise resources and utilise its budget more effectively. The Group selected the solution for its practicality and usability and Evan Powell, Al Tayer Group’s general manager for IT, considers it to be ideally suited to the manufacturing, construction, distribution, service, and management requirements of the conglomerate. “Al Tayer has been successfully running JD Edwards ERP system, in 36 group companies, since 2001. We trust the new Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 8.11 solution to provide even greater flexibility and corporate visibility across the entire business,” says Powell. Senior executives at Al Tayer Group now expect the investment in the updated software to help the management adapt more easily to the ever-changing business environment. In addition to streamlining Al Tayer’s finance, logistics and warehouse management processes, the Group has also chosen to deploy Oracle JD Edwards solutions for its customer relationship management (CRM). The new modules will empower Al Tayer’s employees to provide even better service and care to the group’s customer base.
