Dubai Marina is claiming to have the world’s longest outdoor brand communication, after completing a 2.6 kilometer brand wall around the project. Enterprise IG created the brand identity for Dubai Marina and decided to introduce it by using the brand wall. Emaar, which is behind the development, is waiting for confirmation from the Guinness Book of World Records to verify its claim. The images on the wall show a series of people enjoying various aspects of the Dubai Marina lifestyle. “The intention of this brand was to introduce the market to the exceptional lifestyle found on the other side of the marina,” said Graeme Erens, design consultant at Enterprise IG Middle East. “When we designed the brand communication for use along the Dubai Marina perimeter wall we didn’t expect the project to be in the running for a world record title.” In July, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank staked a claim to having the longest recorded outdoor billboard at 400m long and 12m high. The work, created by Impact/BBDO, runs along Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road.
