Al-Jammaz recruited by APC

UPS giant APC has confirmed the appointment of Al-Jammaz Telecom as an in-country distribution partner for Saudi Arabia. Aziz Alaali, business development manager for APC Middle East, Pakistan and Turkey reckons that the market opportunity in the Kingdom is huge and that Al-Jammaz is the right partner to deliver the goods.

UPS giant APC has confirmed the appointment of Al-Jammaz Telecom as an in-country distribution partner for Saudi Arabia. Aziz Alaali, business development manager for APC Middle East, Pakistan and Turkey reckons that the market opportunity in the Kingdom is huge and that Al-Jammaz is the right partner to deliver the goods. Asim S. Al-Jammaz, VP at Al-Jammaz, said: “As an in-country distributor, Al-Jammaz is well-positioned to provide the channel with credit facilities, technical support and consulting expertise where required. We can also back this up with real reach throughout Saudi Arabia.” Strong investment in datacentre solutions in the Kingdom is expected to drive demand for APC’s enterprise class InfrastruXure solutions. Al-Jammaz offers APC solid channel breadth in Saudi Arabia with an established customer base spanning many sectors including systems integrators, service providers and even SMB-focused resellers. “We already have an active reseller base of 600-plus customers,” added Al-Jammaz. “We expect this number to rise to 800 by 2006 and see huge opportunities for the development of professional datacentres. Our job is to work with our resellers to help educate customers on the benefits of APC’s solutions.” Al-Jammaz has already carved out a strong reputation as an in-country Cisco distributor in Saudi Arabia and signing up APC is just another step forward for the distributor’s stated policy of building relationships with best-of-breed vendors in each product sector. A global IT hardware vendor is poised to formalise a Saudi distribution agreement with Al-Jammaz in the next few weeks. “This is one of the most important distribution deals to be signed in my territory,” said Alaali. “The one factor that really stood out with Al-Jammaz was their hunger to sell APC solutions. Saudi Arabia accounts for 60% of the total addressable market in my territory and Al-Jammaz is the perfect partner to help us capitalise on this sizeable opportunity.”
