US Robotics, the world leader in internet connectivity and networking, has signed an agreement with Saudi Arabian based company ICC on non-analogue retailing of wireless technology products in the Kingdom. This agreement will pay the way for developing the retail exposure of US Robotics in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The International Computer Company (ICC), which was established in 1982 and obtained ISO certification in 2003, is now a leading distributor, system integrator, wholesaler, and retailer of IT. The company has showrooms in major cities and dealer network through out the KSA, commanding 18% of the market share. “AIM and ESAP, our two existing partners in the Kingdom, have maintained a high level of retail proficiency (…) ICC [is] a professional and dynamic provider of IT solutions with a consistent and impressive track record of business growth. [It] has an extensive retail network in the Kingdom and a strong retail presence in areas like Jeddah and Dammam (…) The strategic alliance will surely make the difference in securing untapped markets,” says Sumit Kumar, region manager for US Robotics in the Middle East and North Africa. “The agreement will further the expansion phase of US Robotics and ICC in the Kingdom adding further to our market share,” confirms Akram Elyaz, general manager of ICC. “Our retail network will prove invaluable for promoting the US Robotics — [the company] will benefit greatly from the top class services offered by ICC,” he concludes.
