German Imaging Technologies (GIT), a manufacturer of compatible gt-branded laser toner cartridges, unveiled its select partner programme during this year’s Gitex. The three-tier programme, which categorises partners at blue, silver and diamond level, offers a wide range of business incentives to the channel. Dr. Sassan Dieter Khatib-Shahidi, managing director at GIT, said: “With the Middle East printer market growing rapidly, we are proud to be associated with leaders in the toner cartridges segment like Hewlett Packard, Canon, Ricoh and Lexmark, and through this partner programme, we will offer customers regionally and globally only the best in toner cartridge products and services.” “As the only industrial scale manufacturer of compatible toner cartridges and the first in the region to produce environmentally friendly products, through our rebranding initiative we want to maintain our leadership position and quality standards,” he added. The new programme offers resellers as well as in-country and regional distributors the opportunity to become authorised resellers, while also benefiting from marketing support and additional benefits. GIT will look to provide gt-branded products in bulk quantity at reasonable prices to local resellers and exporters. GIT has added the tagline ‘creating it’ to its gt-branded products as part of its re-branding exercise. The new tagline will extend across GIT’s external and internal communications and will also be used on its website, advertising and other collateral materials. The company has also unveiled plans to eventually launch an online shop. GIT is also extending its product line-up, launching four new compatible laser toner cartridges in November 2005. The new products will be compatible with HP 4500, 4550, 4600 and 5500 printers. As well as building up its gt brand, GIT is also interested in working as an outsourced toner cartridge production provider for third party dealers and exporters.
