PCS Technology, part of the PCS Group, is going all out to push two particular software solutions at this year's show, including one that looks set to tie in perfectly with the development and forthcoming launch of Dubai's very own Healthcare City. This first solution is a solution package for hospitals and laboratories. It includes three separate applications in total: a Laboratory Reporting Tool (LRT), a Laboratory Management Tool (LMT) and last but not least the firm's Laboratory Information and Management System (LIMS). This LIMS comes with a range of full options that cover reception and billing, sample collection and monitoring, bar coding, work area management, equipment interfacing (both uni- and bi-directional), result entry and report generation, dispatch (manual, web- and SMS-based), audit trail, and third party and referral billing. The LMT tool comes with the first four options, while the LRT is included with just reception and billing. The second solutions PCS has been talking up over the course of the week are its GPS and GIS solutions. These naviational technologies are targeted squarely at the region's taxi and fleet companies. “We offer really unique customisation when it comes to these GPS solutions,” claims Vikram Narula, PCS' business development manager. “We actually also make our own maps, thus offering a complete package, as we can change drawn out maps into detailed digital images for our clients at their request.” Aside from these two particular solutions, PCS has still much more to offer this year’s show goers. Its additional products deal with logistics, specifically the online tracking of documents and parcels for the courier industry, plus the company offers IT and network security solutions and audit training and consultancy for BS 7799 and BS 15000 certification. Neither does the firm’s offer stop there. Yet more packages it has to offer are tied to the banking and finance industry, GIS mapping, telematics and like many in hall three this week, IT hardware.
