LXE has invested a significant amount more in this year’s Gitex than last year’s debut, to raise awareness of its rugged computing and wireless network technologies, including a number of solutions for ports, warehouses and hazardous environments that are essential in this region. Sporting a new, larger stand at this year’s show has helped work wonders for raising awareness of the company. “We’ve invested a lot more in our stand this year, and tried to get it to reflect the company itself. It has made a significant improvement and have seen absolutely, one hundred percent more enthusiasm and a lot more visitors come to our stand,” says Paul Rason business development manager at LXE. “The actual people visiting the stand have been different too, there’s been a lot more that actually have a good idea about our products and understand how radio frequency affects their environment. We can help these people with a specialised solution,” adds Rason. The LXE portfolio also includes RFID reading solutions for warehouses and ports and wireless communication network devices such as a voice recognition device, called the HX1 series, antenna technology and I-Safe mobile computers, ideal for environments such as oil refineries or chemical plants. The hardware consists of heavy-duty products that can be designed to deal with extreme heat, extreme cold, dust and sand, humidity or water. Aside from showing off its portfolio the vendor, originally from the USA, but with an office in Dubai’s Jebel Ali free zone, is aiming to get more business and more contracts in the region. “We are here specifically to build business and to win more installations across the region. We currently have 300 installations across the Middle East, but there is so much more potential in this region,” says Rason. LXE has been present in the Middle East since 2000 and has seen its partner base grow rapidly as its product offering has developed. LXE works in conjunction with Cisco and is also a certified partner of both Oracle and SAP.
