In a bid to find a new distributor for its graphics cards, Korean-based Gainward is making its very first appearance at Gitex. “We are a new brand in the Middle East market and decided to attend Gitex to help us introduce ourselves to potential customers and distributors,” says Claire Huang, sales manager for Gainward. Gainward’s product line includes a wide variety of cards including the Power-Pack series, which is purely based on nVidia graphics technology. The cards include HDR technology, in addition to full DirectX 9C compatibility. This allows users to enjoy an immersive gaming experience, says Gainword. “The technology works by giving the gamer the experience of the full capabilities of the human eye with bright lights and shadow detail, as if the person were experiencing the effect in the real world,” says Huang. According to Gainward, what separates it from the competition is the fact that it only specialises in VGA cards. “Unlike other component manufactures such as Taiwan- based Asus or Gigabyte, we only concentrate on graphic cards. We put all our resources into VGA cards. Therefore, I can confidently say that the quality of our cards surpasses that of any other manufacturer in the market,” explains Huang. Gainward primarily targets hardcore gamers, overclockers and PC enthusiasts.
