DVI partnership - part of the AIT group - is marking its first ever appearance at Gitex with the unveiling of its digital signage range of solutions. DVI is a specialist supplier and installer of electronic digital signage, video display systems, audio/video extensions and media suite solutions. According to the company, these form the backbone of point-of-sale (PoS), advertising, electronic boards and interactive touch screens, and save companies tons on printing and distribution costs. DVI also claims that digital media is seven times more effective than conventional print media. This week at the trade show, DVI will be focusing mainly on its 'Inspired Signage' system, which enables users to deliver signage content to a specific target audience. “We provide a complete solution which includes a media player, content management software as well as a consultancy service, which works closely with our clients to find out their target audience and the content they wish to deliver,” says Lara Mclvor, sales manager of DVI. DVI's content management system, according to Mclvor is the strongest and most vital point of their entire solution. “Our content management software is what we pride ourselves on. The software allows users to easily update their content and schedule real-time updates. The software also contains a security feature, where you can set-up which type of user has rights to update certain types of information. For example, you can set it up so that only your company receptionist can change the welcome message on your sign,” says Mclvor. The firm is currently targeting specific markets in the region, where it sees a lot of growth potential. “Considering the rapid growth in the region, especially in Dubai, I think it is only natural that the market will move more towards digital signage. I think the areas of the market with the most potential for our solutions are in leisure and retail,” adds Mclvor. Apart from leisure and retail, the firm's applications also target real estate, education and corporate communication. When asked what separates DVI from other digital signage firms, Mclvor answers, “I think what sets us apart of the competition is the fact that our products are very user-friendly. We have designed our software with easy-of-use in mind because we don't want to intimidate those who are not very IT savvy. Secondly, ease-of-use means you will save more time, which is very vital when you have to get fast updates to customers,” says Mclvor. “Also, we are one of the very few companies in the industry that provide advanced 3D animation as part of our solution,” concludes Mclvor. DVI is currently working in partnership with Alpha Data - a specialist supplier of IT, AV and Telecom systems in the UAE. Its sister company - KVM - is also showcasing a range of management solutions for data centers, trading floors and multiple branch offices.
