The biggest change in the identification card market is making one standard card multi-purpose, so company employees do not have to carry around a wallet-full of various cards, says Digital Identification Solutions (DIS) marketing director Harald Zinn. Today's chips are powerful enough that encoding technology can accomodate a variety of tasks on one card. So the employee can fill up his car with petrol and charge it directly to the company, make other cashless payments and enter premises on several separate sites. "This is our 10th time at a Gitex show - it's good for business," he says. Zinn's stand also promotes DIS's regional partners in the Middle East, as it is not a direct-to-customer sales company: Sarl ID Cartes (Algier), Shreenath Enterprises (Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Chennai), Al Alamiah Technology Group KSCC (Safat), Solarman Company (Khartoum), Emirates Photo Marketing (Ajman, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Fujeirah), Setco (Damascus), Integration Business Solutions (Cairo), Sepehr Anformatic (Tehran), and Samir Photographic Supplies Co (Jeddah, Riyadh, Al Khobar). DIS is a worldwide provider of identity solutions. It sells in Europe, Asia and the US. Through its worldwide network of certified partners its delivers state-of-the-art identity solutions to customers virtually anywhere in the world. The firm is also hoping to make a big impression on the market, which is one of the reasons behind being an active participant at Gitex 2005. The company's core competency is its knowledge of how to apply advanced technology to the production of secure indentification credentials, often referrred to as identity documents or identification (ID) cards. DIS can deliver solutions incorporating high security pre-printing and holography, image encryption and watermarking, biometrics integration and multi-faceted card encoding. The card service department of Digital Identification Solutions provides full service where customers provide it with their data, photos, security needs and design demands, and DIS produces their cards and delivers them straight to the customers or their offices. Most of DIS's key personnel have worked in the electronic ID market place since its inception and have more than a decade of experience of designing, building, implementation and supporting large-scale ID solutions for government and large commercial clients. DIS offers system design and consulting services. Once a customer decides to move forward with a project, we provide experienced project management, custom development and onsite implementation, system integration and customer training.
