E-business consultancy and solutions provider SmartSquare is at Gitex to present to visitors its expertise in developing and managing effective online businesses. A cooperative venture bet-ween Zayed University and IBM, the idea behind SmartSquare is to help both public and private institutions in the UAE create and enhance their e-business and communication activities. It offers comprehensive service packages, from conceptualisation to turnkey delivery, of running electronic service environments. Dr. Ehab Moustafa, principal consultant of SmartSquare, says the purpose of their presence at Gitex is to attract more clients and fortify business relationships with its existing customers. “Our presence at Gitex is extremely important to acquire potential partners and build on already established relationships,” he says. SmartSquare services are inspired by regional strategic priorities to innovate new ways of doing business, help transformation, adopt technologies and transfer knowledge to accelerate the move towards a global economy, Moustafa says. The company has focused its services to address important regional business issues including finding the right solution for companies’ business needs; maximising return on investment; accessing expertise relevant to the business; staying ahead of the competitors; and developing the skills of the local workforce. SmartSquare actively supports local knowledge transfer, benefiting from academic, business and technology experts. Located in purpose-built centres in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Smart-Square offers access to the latest technology and business consulting services. “Having a portfolio built on top of business consultancy and IT know-how, SmartSquare delivers reliable business value analysis and strategy consulting up to concrete solution delivery, not only to innovate, but also to deliver and deploy future e-business solutions according to its mission,” Moustafa explains. The company prides itself on offering impartial guidance, solution planning and design services. In addition, it provides solution building and delivery through local competence and a wide network of leading solution partners, according to Moustafa. “We are particularly proud of our work with the nationals in the region and in developing their skills so when they enter the workforce they have a greater expertise in both technology and business,” he adds. “SmartSquare is a place where subject matter experts, national graduates and business owners go to discover pioneering ideas to tackle business and technology challenges, find out how to turn these ideas into reality while making a profit and develop and deploy transformation most effectively,” says Moustafa. “The UAE is an amazing place with a wealth of possibilities. Our leaders have great vision. I am excited personally and in a professional capacity to be a part of this new dynamic Dubai and be witness to its expansion,” he concludes.
