Simulated training technologies are coming to Dubai, as Experiential Technologies helps human resources departments to provide staff with on the job training, without making on the job mistakes. The South African company produces tailor-made interactive simulations for companies, and has already entered into talks with Emirates Airline, and other Dubai-based companies, to secure contracts in the Middle East. “When the South African government announced that they would initiate sponsored exhibitions for small to medium enterprises (SME) in the Middle East, Experiential Technologies decided to take part,” says Jan vd Westhuizen, managing director of Experiential Technologies. Experiential Technologies offers realistic experiential simulations for a wide spectrum of business environments. “During the simulations, participants take control of an experiential simulated company. Over the course of a few days, they make years of critical decisions that affect daily operations, short-term profits and long-term growth,” Westhuizen explains. By placing participants in a ‘real life’ marketplace where critical business decisions must be made, experiential simulations concentrate on and maximize an individual’s business skills and potential for change “Our experience has led us to realise the strength of using simulations when training people and supporting organisations in change. It is for this reason that we have invested in a unique and creative product called Integrated Simulation Solutions (ISS),” he says. “ISS enables us to create customised in-house simulations for organisations. With the help of our experienced consultants, we can build customised training simulations for internal use and even upgrade and further develop the simulation as the business changes.” Experiential Technologies is part of global group Experttech Europe AG, and the company plans to widen its global reach through its Gitex participation.
