Hong Kong-based Smartview Technology, which creates MP3 players, speakers and even mobile phones at its factory in Mainland China, is here at Gitex for the second time to expand its presence in the region. “We are keen on finding local distributors, who will promote our products in the market,” says Kitty To, vice president of Smartview Technology. “We are not just offering speakers and MP3 players. We have tried to bring something unique to this market. Take, for instance, our speakers. They are designed to be attractive and can be connected to external audio sources without PC connectivity. They can be connected to MP3 players, USB drives, card readers and even iPods and it offers a real value for money,” she explains. Smartview also gives clients the flexibility to resell its products with or without its logo. Perhaps one thing that stands out at the Smartview stand is the attractive look and feel of its products. MP3 players in both traditional as well as new designs can be viewed at the Smartview stand. MP3 players, card readers and speakers come in matching white or metallic blue and red colours. The stand showcases some MP3 players that can be clipped to the user’s collar. “We have given both traditional, metallic and rubberised finishes to our products. We have made a genuine attempt to create something different and unique so that people will be attracted to it,” explains To.
