Extreme Networks is looking to add solution partners and resellers across the region in order to continue driving its business growth. The network infrastructure specialist is in the process of appointing partners in two tiers of its channel network. Chris Moore, regional manager, Middle East and North Africa, at Extreme Networks says the company wanted to recruit a top tier solution partner, and it was also on the lookout for between two or three resellers for each country across the region. The company recently appointed Online Distribution and tasked it with attracting new resellers in the Middle East. “We are looking to build the number of solution and reseller partners across the Middle East in order to capitalise on the increasing demand for networking infrastructure solutions,” says Moore. The company, which set up shop in Dubai more than four years ago, is exhibiting at Gitex with its current partners which include Bush Net from Uganda, Bader Al-Mullah from Kuwait, Bahrain’s Fakhroc Technical and CCS from Jordan. The Extreme Networks team is also presenting joint solutions with vendors Avaya, Sygate and Sun Microsystem as this year’s exhibition. “Gitex is always a good opportunity for us to highlight our products to decision-makers,” says Moore. “We had a great year last year, with many quality new business leads, and so far this year, the response has been very positive.” Extreme Networks is also showcasing its switch-based security offering at Gitex. The solution has two parts, the Clear-Flow security rules engine, which is integrated into Extreme’s BlackDiamond 10K switch, and the Sentriant virtual security resource (VSR) appliance. The solution is designed to provide a defence against zero day attacks, which are threats that lack a signature or previous pattern. Extreme network’s previous customers include the UAE University which has deployed Extreme networks switching solutions across its Al-Maqam campus in Al Ain.
