TPS Pakistan is highlighting new features of its network monitoring solution at Gitex. The software and consulting firm offers transaction and payment processing solutions for the financial sector. It has recently added functionalities to InSight, its web-based remote ATM monitoring system, and it is demoing these enhancements at the show. “A common problem in many ATM networks is that of status monitoring and control. While the existing host can handle ATM transactions, it is usually unable to provide ATM operational, supplies and device fitness status information in an intuitive manner. It would be rare to find a bank’s host that provides a user-friendly environment for ATM status monitoring,” says Shahzad Shahid, regional manager, business development, Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa & Pakistan. Insight seeks to address this gap by monitoring the ATM networks and recording the behaviour of the network in real time. Because the system uses a web-based browser, systems administrators are able to access the recorded data anywhere and anytime they want to. “InSight is highly configurable where users can set up their own views, alarms and levels of detail that they want to monitor. It can be installed in a single institution or a multi-institution environment while the monitoring can be done over the internet or a private network,” Shahid adds.
