HP Middle East last night launched its Vivera inks. At a gala event, the printer giant told both customers and partners how the inks have been formulated to deliver amazing quality, clarity and colour. Designed to work with a number of HP’s Photosmart printers, the Vivera inks are a key element in the vendor’s Scalable Printing Technology system, which encompasses not only printers and inks but also paper. Unlike other inks, the Vivera inks are stored in the print head of HP’s Photosmart range. It places ink drops on the media, transferring millions of drops per second with greater accuracy, hence the higher quality of the finished product. “Everyday users require better quality from their printers and there is a real market demand for fast and high quality colour printing. Vivera delivers this,” says Amr Hassan, general manager of the Imaging & Printing Group at HP Middle East. “These inks are HP delivering on its customer promise. Our customers have asked for better colour printing and we have provided that with higher quality and greater durability through Vivera,” he adds. HP expects early adopters to be from the consumer market, and especially from users who are passionate about printing photos. However, with colour printing becoming increasingly popular among business users, Vivera will soon find a home further up the customer chain.
