Media creation, storage and playback specialist Pinnacle Systems unveiled a new line of media centres and TV tuners at yesterday’s show. The firm's new media centre line is branded ShowCentre. This device allows users to project all the media files they have stored on their PCs or networks to their home theatre set-ups; effectively turning their homes into ultra media-rich environments. The ShowCentre is adaptable too, as it can transfer this media data via both wireless 'WiFi' networks and traditional, wired Ethernet connection. Pinnacle is not forgetting its roots however, and is also keen to tell everyone about its Liquid Edition 6 solution for video editors. Visitors to its stand are in fact receiving a real hands-on experience of all its solutions. Interested parties can even busy themselves working on workstations and then show-off their creations on Pinnacle's on-stand large Plasma screens. "Our company has been present at Gitex for several years, mainly to launch our latest products," explains Ziad Soussou, Pinnacle's sales manager for the Middle East. "and we have live demonstrations to show the power and ease of use of those. Gitex isn’t just about product demos though, as Soussou’s also keen on meeting new potential partners. "It is also a good time to meet new and interested players, he says, "and share the benefits of working together."
