HSM aims to shred the competition with its service

The presence of German office equipment provider, HSM at this year’s show follows a year of significant achievements and there’s more to come, according to the company’s management. HSM is more than just a provider of paper shredders and baling presses, the company’s management is keen to point out. HSM is striving to be a partner that reacts to the demands, wishes and expectations of its customers and works with them to develop solutions. HSM’s products are subjected to permanent quality control and produced in the company’s own factories according to binding quality principles. This, according to Armin Rock, HSM’s business development manager, is the company’s way of continuously improving its process flows and products. “It allows us to offer the best conditions to customers — for service, readiness for delivery, price and guarantee.” Indeed, HSM’s achievements in maintaining the quality of its innovative products, consistent product development endeavours, and commitment to supporting customers, was recognised earlier this year at the European Office Products Awards. At a ceremony held at the Paperworld trade fair in Frankfurt in January, HSM was voted Vendor of the Year 2004, the supplier of the year in the category for companies with revenue of up to 50 million Euros (US $60 million). “The judgment procedure for these internationally prestigious awards was carried out by OPI, the office trade journal, with help from selected, industry experts,” says Rock. “These experts were selected on the merits of their achievements in the industry and represented a broad selection of sales channels and industry expertise. This ensured the neutrality of the judgment procedure.” However, HSM does not only offer hardware. The company is also promoting its individual system solutions such as the multilevel shredder systems, channel baling presses or PET solutions at Gitex this year. “Customers can profit from our extensive know-how and broad experience,” says Rock. “Our specialists assist you from the very beginning and provide ongoing support and service.” Visitors to the HSM stand can view the company’s full range of office equipment.
