Tranzeo Wireless Technologies, a leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of high-speed wireless broadband communication systems, is exhibiting for the first time at Gitex. “This is the company’s first year exhibiting at Gitex,” says Lisa Kane, a company spokesperson. “Our major goal in Dubai is to increase our international presence in new geographical markets, to generate leads and sales, and enlist new dealers and distributors. In addition, we are introducing our products and services, which will increase awareness of the company.” At the show, the company is showcasing its Tranzeo TR-CPQ, a low-cost, integrated 2.4GHz CPE (customer premise equipment) that features full quality of service (QoS) capabilities. A CPE is a terminating communications equipment, such as terminals, telephones, and modems, that is installed at customer sites and connected to the telephone company network. “Tranzeo TR-CPQ is the latest equipment we’re offering. Successful wireless ISPs (WISPs) know that in order to compete in this industry they need to offer more than just data and this 2.4 GHz equipment keeps us ahead,” says Kane. Having full QoS capabilities on the client device means that users get all the control necessary for a smooth running wireless network. With TR-CPQ, users can either activate auto-classification to define traffic bandwidth according to the application (i.e. gaming, voice over IP or video teleconferencing) or create their own custom rules based on individual needs. “In order to successfully deliver these new streams, QoS is no longer a great feature to have in your CPE; it is a necessity. That’s why we have introduced the new TR-CPQ to the ever-changing demands of WISPs,” Kane adds. The TR-CPQ boasts a high output of 23dBm (200mW) radio for long distance clients. It is available in a host of antenna configurations, including an integrated 15dBi antenna, an integrated 19dBi antenna, or an N-female bulkhead connector, for convenient installation no matter what the distance requirements are. “Throughout the show we will focus on many things, however antenna and radio products will be at the forefront,” Kane concludes.
