Exhibiting for the first time at Gitex is HS Teliann, an internet telephony device manufacturer specialising in integrated telecommunications gateways and solutions. The company is part of a Korean delegation — organised by the Korean Venture Business Association — that is gracing the show with technology innovations from the Far East. “At Gitex, we are highlighting our latest satellite receivers that have built-in dial-up and broadband ATA as well as VoIP (voice over internet protocol) gateways,” says Daniel Yoon, marketing manager, HS Teliann. “HS Teliann has a very interesting product for this show. The product, called the HS STV-101, is a satellite receiver with built-in VoIP analogue telephony adaptor. It allows users to watch TV through satellite while, at the same time, enabling them to make and receive VoIP phone calls either through dial-up or broadband,” Yoon adds. HS Teliann’s complete product portfolio includes IP phones, analogue telephony adaptors and VoIP gateways. It has also developed proprietary application servers that can handle terminals and gateways within a server, or what it calls HS Provision Server. The company has already established a presence in the region as a main supplier for several internet telephony service providers in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE. But the company is keen to establish more OEM and ODM partnerships in the region, according to Yoon. “HS Teliann is famous for its ability and willingness to customise solutions for customers. We are willing to find OEM and ODM partners, as well as service providers and ISPs that we can work with locally,” adds Yoon.
