Tech Access is ready to promote the power of its partnership with Sun Microsystems to Middle East and North Africa resellers at Gitex. Tech Access, Sun’s regional channel development provider, plans to meet with its partners and listen to their feedback on business opportunities in emerging markets. “We want to make a real impression on Sun’s Gitex stand, and cement our links with the resellers and channel partners who will be attending,” said Kamran Hussain, VP sales and marketing at Tech Access. “We are recognised across the region as Sun’s channel development provider, and we want to use Gitex to make a positive contribution to Sun and those who will be visiting its stand.” “The real value of Tech Access lies in the expertise we have built up in the Middle East, and the close relationships we have created with each channel partner. Gitex attendees will see firsthand how we approach our sales and marketing strategy, and hopefully gain an insight they can incorporate into their own business,” he continued. Tech Access plans to offer sales courses to its partner network at Gitex and will also brief channel partners on its strategy for the year ahead. Alongside its iForce solutions centre, Tech Access provides a range of bespoke additional services for partners including pre-sales and marketing assistance. Tech Access currently works with over 40 partners across the Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan. Tech Access’ relationship with Sun is set to come under the spotlight as the vendor rolls out its new partner advantage channel programme to replace the existing iForce scheme. Sun is also planning to appoint a second distributor in the MENA region focused on the lower end of its product portfolio. Tech Access has broadened its portfolio in recent months, signing distribution agreements with a number of vendors including e-mail security specialist BlackSpider and network giant Huawei.
