Acer Computer Middle East is displaying its full product range this week. The majority of the vendor’s line-up, which includes Acer’s recently-launched LCD TVs and its Media Gateway, highlights the growing trend towards digital convergence. Visitors to Acer’s stand can check out its entire notebook range, desktop PCs, and its latest digital imaging releases — from PC gaming monitors to its LCD TVs and digital projectors. Exemplifying Acer’s convergence theme is its new Media Gateway product. This has been designed to act as a valuable building block between consumer electronics devices in digital homes of the future. By linking PCs to LCD TVs, music centres and other such devices, the Media Gateway can play MP3 music files, display digital photographs, play DVDs, download web content or record a live football match, all via the same interface. Also on display at Acer’s stand is its PDA range, its new digital camera line, plus servers, storage products, peripherals, and e-business solutions for business, government, education, and home users. “Technology customers in the Middle East are becoming increasingly knowledgeable and demanding more and more value from their dirhams and riyals,” explains Philip Ashkar, director of sales and marketing, Acer Computer. “With this in mind, what Acer is all about is empowering customers. We believe that our huge variety of the latest cutting-edge technology offers business and consumer electronics buyers an unbeatable range of options at unbeatable prices, and we encourage attendees to visit our stand this week,” he adds.
