Samsung Gulf Electronics is turning the digital convergence dream into a reality today at Gitex, as the company showcases its expansive product portfolio stretching from the consumer electronics right through to the corporate IT environment. “Printers, monitors, mobile phones, storage devices and consumer electronic products such as MP3 players, digital cameras, camcorders and LCD TVs and plasma screens are all on display. Samsung is the company that leads the way in digital convergence and can offer the complete solution,” says K.V. Narayanan, sales manager digital information technology division at Samsung Gulf Electronics. Samsung Gulf, the unit responsible for sales of Samsung products across the GCC with the exception of Saudi Arabia, is committed to showcasing the power of its portfolio to resellers and end-users alike. “Our double storey stand features product displays on the ground floor with meeting rooms upstairs. This week is an excellent opportunity to meet our partners face-to-face and talk them through the product line-up, the roadmap for future product development and build a platform for even greater success in 2006 and beyond,” Narayanan adds. Samsung Gulf’s monitor experts are on the vendor’s stand today to talk visitors through the enhanced functions of its product range and the specific designs targeted at the corporate and consumer market. On the printer side of the business — a business where Samsung has made significant inroads in the last year — the drive to recruit corporate resellers is well underway. “We are explaining the value that Samsung printing solutions deliver into the corporate environment and we are actively recruiting partners capable of taking this message to the customer,” says Lancy Menezes, sales & marketing manager for the digital printing division at Samsung Gulf Electronics. “Total cost of ownership is also a key factor and Samsung printers also offer excellent reliability,” she adds.
