In addition, the MID team will also be busy promoting its Fortex brand of products, which include VGA cards, memory products, MP3 players, monitors and motherboards. “MID will show that it is active, growing and doing well,” says Anupam Goel, sales & marketing director at MID. “We have set targets and goals that we hope to meet through our appearance at Gitex this week. We are looking for even more loyal partners that truly understand the reliability and quality of our products. These partners will be better positioned to educate end users on the quality of our services and focus their efforts on winning big tender deals,” he adds. MID already offers advanced post-sales service systems including web-based support and 24 hour telephone help lines to its customers. The UAE-based company believes that its professional approach means an extremely high rate of customer satisfaction. Promoting the Fortex brand will be a top priority for MID during Gitex and the company is also planning some special promotional prices for its range of PCs and laptops to coincide with this year’s event. “Gitex is the most famous and important show in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region,” says Goel. “The attendance is excellent and the MEA market continues to show very strong potential,” he adds. As well as meeting existing customers, MID is looking to make contact with new customers and explain the benefits that its growing product portfolio can offer. Besides its own brand Fortex business, MID also has a strong relationship with major components vendors. Some of the top names on the company’s books include Intel, Hynix, Seagate, Sapphire and ASRock. “Our main focus will be the promotion of Fortex PCs, notebooks and servers,” says Syed Ibrahim Anwar, Intel product manager at MID. “But we will also explain our focus on after-sales support and the smooth logistics systems we have in place that ensure faster delivery to customers and partners across MEA. At this year’s event we are expecting to generate new business leads in many different countries around the region,” he adds.
