Ubifrance, the French Agency for International Business Development, is looking to further develop industrial and commercial collaboration between French companies and its partners abroad this week at Gitex. To this end, Ubifrance is promoting a number of French products, services and technical expertise. The agency is also seeking to forge contacts between French and foreign professionals and develop partnerships between French companies and those abroad. “We are not promoting products in particular, but our mission is to help French companies promote their know-how and technology abroad,” says Marie-Francoise Nolet, project manager at Ubifrance. “Six companies are exhibiting on the French pavilion this year. They are: Arkoon, Auto’matique, Linkcom, Net2S, Polypore and Verbatim,” she adds. Arkoon provides network security solutions that protect corporate networks, while Auto’matique offers a wide range of second-hand office equipment from all major brands. Linkcom is a specialist in telecoms equipment, providing solutions that include GSM gateways, IP phones, PBX systems, and headsets. NET2S is a consulting firm, while Polypore manufacturers office printing supplies. Last but not least, Verbatim claims to be Europe’s leading CD and DVD recordable media and a leading supplier.
