Networking vendor US Robotics whipped up a channel frenzy for its MAXg product range in Saudi Arabia with a series of successful reseller events. Channel partners turned up in huge numbers to find out more about the latest additions to the product portfolio. The two events, held on September 10th and 11th in Jeddah and Riyadh respectively in conjunction with in-country distributors AIM and ESAP, attracted hundreds of resellers keen to learn more about the MAXg line-up. “The events were a fantastic success,” said Sumit Kumar, regional manager Middle East and Africa at US Robotics. “In Riyadh we actually had 120 people turn up to hear the presentations and find out more. We did the presentations once in the morning and again in the afternoon. Some delegates actually went both times.” Some 50 resellers turned up for the event in Jeddah. US Robotics also saw strong interest from major retailers in the Kingdom in the MAXg range with representatives from government ministries also in attendance. “This was also an excellent opportunity for us to deliver full details of US Robotics new channel programme to partners in the Kingdom,” added Kumar. “The interest was phenomenal. We are also planning to appoint a dedicated technical support person in Saudi Arabia.” The first batch of MAXg stock has arrived in the Middle East. Currently sitting with distributors, the first shipments to the reseller channel are now imminent.
