Braun has introduced a handheld food processor with a difference. The Multiquick Fresh comes with a vacuum attachment that lets users vacuum-preserve food in special Braun FreshWare containers. According to the company, the procedure extracts air and helps to preserve the taste and goodness of food. This, Braun claims, maintains the freshness and quality of produce up to 3 times longer than a traditional sealed box. “It’s a paradox of our modern lifestyles that we want to go food shopping less often, but still create fresh meals from natural ingredients as often as possible,” said Manoj Nair, regional business manager, Braun. “The Braun Multiquick fresh system helps you keep control in the kitchen by preparing fresh family meals in advance and keep them tasting fresh, without compromising on goodness.” The food processor part of the Multiquick is designed to crush ice in addition to chopping, puréeing and whisking. The FreshWare containers are made from durable, heat resistant glass. They can be used in the fridge, freezer and microwave or conventional ovens.
