Jebel Ali-based LightSpeed distribution has boosted its product portfolio, picking up UAE and Central Asia distribution rights for Averatec notebooks. The CIS specialist has also bagged a six-month probationary contract to push AG Neovo’s monitor line-up into Central Asia with a view to signing a sole distributor agreement at the end of this period. “We have now started the distribution of AG Neovo monitors into Central Asia,” confirmed Vlad Rogovoy, managing director at LightSpeed Distribution. “AG Neovo is a Taiwanese vendor specialising in high-end stylish design LCD monitors. These products have patented multi-layer coating, which protects the screen and also produces better contrast.” AG Neovo claims that its products are well-suited discerning customers and professionals seeking high-end performance at reasonable price points. The company prides itself on producing products with superior performance and features that make the monitors stand out from the ‘beige box’ crowd. LightSpeed has also struck an agreement with US-based notebook vendor Averatec and plans to invest significant resources building up the brand in both the UAE and Central Asia. “Averatec is a relatively new vendor but it has witnessed tremendous growth to date and produces and excellent range of groundbreaking thin and light notebooks,” added Rogovoy. Averatec’s goal is to bring cutting-edge products to the market at affordable price points. Led by a management team with more than a century of combined high-tech experience, Averatec has already made inroads into various customer sectors from the SMB sector right through to government. Across the world, Averatec uses multiple routes-to-market including retail, distribution and reseller channels.
