Hardware vendor DTK has signified its intention to crack the fast-growing Jordanian IT market with the appointment of JOCOM as an authorised in-country distribution partner. Nimer Al Attal, managing director at DTK Computer Middle East, said: “Jordan, with its huge pool of IT professionals, offers huge potential for IT growth. Market figures show that in 2004, the PC installed base grew by 21%, and internet users rose by 28% in Jordan. JOCOM shares common core values with DTK and this factor can make a significant contribution in achieving mutual business targets,” he concluded. “The rapid development of IT in Jordan has seen many IT players rushing to make a foray in this promising market,” said Fawzi Darwaza, general manager at JOCOM. “We believe companies like DTK can provide the much needed support for further IT growth in Jordan.” “Our company is geared to provide the needed expertise that will trigger higher sales of DTK’s acclaimed products in this competitive market, because of our established contacts with key corporate players and businesses,” he added. The company produces a wide range of IT hardware products including desktops, workstations, all-in-one PCs, servers, notebooks and e-solutions.
