Dewan Architects, a UAE-based architectural and engineering consulting firm, has been awarded the contract to provide architectural consultancy services to Dubai 1000 Hotel Fonds, a major German-investment initiative in Dubai. Drees & Sommer International is the project manager for the hotel. Dewan will be the lead architect for the upcoming project and will be expected to provide all design services. The project is also backed by other specialised firms, including Unternehmensgruppe Recker, and SIAT (Germany) who are contributing as concept architects. Located within Dubailand’s Downtown Dubai, this hospitality project will be one of the largest hotels in the region, housing 1050 4-star modern business-type hotel rooms with restaurants, front-of-house and back-of-house areas, other public and service amenities. Speaking about the unique development, Ammar Assam, business development director, Dewan Architects and Engineers said: “The Dubai 1000 Hotel project is located at a prominent location within Dubailand.” “Dubailand’s enormous array of leisure, sport, and hospitality facilities for tourists and residents in Dubai, coupled with the lack of affordable quality business-style hotel products, provide this project with a firm footing for success.”
