Forget the Bayeux Tapestry, it is the Brocade Tapestry Fabric partner programme that looks set to capture channel interest across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The storage solutions vendor has developed a new scheme targeted specifically at partners selling the Brocade Tapestry product family. The new scheme promises to provide these partners with the tools to capitalise on increasing demand for intelligence in the infrastructure. The new programme offers a range of benefits including sales and marketing support, education and training as well as technical tools and materials. “Our Tapestry products are aimed to help customers address the challenge of improving service delivery and resource management,” said Barbara Spicek, director partner sales at Brocade EMEA and Latin America. “We have seen significant interest from our channel since we launched the Brocade Tapestry family in June of this year. The new partner programme is designed to equip our channel partners with the tools to capitalise on the increasing demand for intelligence in the infrastructure. It’s a win-win situation for everyone,” she added. The Tapestry product family includes the Brocade Tapestry application resource manager (ARM) and Brocade Tapestry wide area file services (WAFS). To qualify for Tapestry Fabric partner accreditation status, partners must complete sales and technical training. Specific sales and marketing benefits for accredited partners include access to the secure Tapestry partner network website, sales guides, presentations, a free half-day lead generation workshop, simulated product demonstrations and product information. Technical tools available include a Brocade return on investment (ROI) calculator, access to training webcasts and the ability to purchase demonstration kit at discounted prices. With recent figures from IDC indicating that servers and storage are the two technology areas most highly linked to the development of dynamic IT infrastructures, Brocade believes that its solutions are well-placed to take advantage of the existing market trends. The Brocade Tapestry Fabric partner programme complements the existing Fabric partner programme, which is designed to assist partner selling the vendor’s portfolio of Brocade SilkWorm storage area network (SAN) switches and directors.
