Masafi is partnering with UAE Census in an effort to make the UAE’s first nationwide census a big success. More than 3 million Masafi bottles will carry the specially designed ‘Tedad’ (census) logo during the first phase of the census campaign, which last 45 days beginning on September 1, 2005. Hafsa Abdullah Al Ulama, assistant under secretary for planning and director general of Census 2005 was delighted with Masafi’s involvement in the campaign. “We are grateful to Masafi for consenting to partner with us in this momentous initiative,” she said. “Masafi has underlined its presence in the nation for nearly three decades and has been in the forefront in discharging its corporate social responsibilities.” Ashraf Abushady, general manager of Masafi, added: “Masafi is proud to be part of this nation building exercise. We have consistently reiterated our commitment to our consumers by providing world class offerings and the public at large by associating with community services. This partnership with the Higher Census Authority is in line with our company’s vision towards contributing to society at large.” Masafi is the acknowledged number one in the UAE bottled water market. It holds around 41% value share of the market for units between 330ml and 2 litres.
