A.A. Turki Corporation for Trading and Contracting (ATCO) has signed a distribution agreement with US vendor Good Technology for its wireless messaging, e-mail and data access software. The Cyberlink division of the Saudi Arabian conglomerate will distribute Good products throughout the Middle East. “We are very lucky to get the Good products to the region so soon. It usually takes quite a while for the technology to reach the Middle East, but we have signed Good just after they have released the products in Europe,” said Faheem S. Yusuf, IT Sales Consulting Engineer Saudi Arabia at ATCO. Good technologies has grown to a customer base of 6,500 users across the world in the five years since its inception. ATCO says it wants to build this up so the Middle East is a prominent sales area for the vendor. “Good products are extremely useful and useable. Awareness is the key, and we are hoping to appoint some more in-country distributors to carry the products and help us make a name with the Good brand,” added Yusuf. ATCO will introduce two Good products to the region: GoodLink and GoodAccess. The first, GoodLink, creates full, two-way, push synchronisation with Microsoft Exchange on a secure basis for remote e-mail access via any GPRS device. GoodAccess extends secure, mobile, and synchronised capabilities of GoodLink to enterprise database programs, such as SAP, Oracle, and Siebel. This allows corporate data to be shared with staff, again via GPRS. To aid the launch and increase the reach of Good in the region, ATCO is looking for more distributors to work on an in-country basis promoting Good products. Target countries for ATCO are across the Middle East and North Africa. ATCO will offer training and is promising to give great offers to the resellers who sign up with it, and the distributor is hoping to meet with a number of potential new partners at Gitex 2005.
