SkyCargo launches new website

Emirates SkyCargo reveals a new customer centric website ahead of the launch of its new generation cargo system in 2006.

Emirates SkyCargo has launched a brand new customer centric website. The website, which also has a new address; www.skycargo.com, also integrates SkyChain, which will allow customers to check flight schedules and cargo capacity. Quick Track will also be available in order to electronically follow a shipment’s journey and print barcode labels. Also as part of the redesign, the website will feature a Price Quote, which offers visitors to the website an instant estimate for air freighting shipments based on origin destination and weight volume factors. “Our new website is a strategic tool in our phased implementation of customer-focused solutions and now represents our brand name better. Its design and development was based on customer feedback and on our own research to address their evolving needs,” said Prakash Nair, network cargo sales development manager, Emirates. The homepage will also play host to information on Emirates SkyCargo’s range of products and solutions, corporate news and its fuel index. “Besides a bright look and feel, the website offers customers speed, convenience, transparency, and empowers them with the latest information and communication tools. The new website prepares the groundwork for our new generation cargo system that will be rolled out in 2006,” added Nair.
