Dubai-based distributor and audiovisual solutions provider Almoe has boosted its product portfolio, picking up distribution rights for Hitachi’s range of projectors and LCD and plasma panels across the UAE, Qatar and Yemen. “Hitachi is a strong brand and fits well with our existing product portfolio,” explained D.S. Krishna Murthy, general manager at Almoe. “There is strong demand for plasma and LCD monitors and we are also witnessing a great deal of interest in projectors.” Almoe, which also sells Epson products, is an audiovisual solutions provider in its own right, but also works through a network of 160 focused resellers and integrators across the Middle East. The 100-strong company currently has staff and offices located in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi. “We establish separate distribution channels for each vendor that we carry,” added Krishna Murthy. “With more and more offices under construction, the need for audiovisual solutions is increasing. As well as working with integrators we also have a rental division for these products that is performing strongly.” Almoe also holds distribution rights for Sony’s video conferencing kit as well as selected Samsung products. Almoe has carved out a strong reputation as a provider of total solutions incorporating the design and integration of audiovisual equipment, specialising in state-of-the-art boardrooms, conference rooms, lecture halls, classrooms, training rooms, mini theatres and even auditoriums.
