Microtop Computer (MTC) will be dividing its attention between its two main brands at this year’s show — ASUS and ASroch. The firm will also have a heavy focus on its own OEM brand, called Orange. With this in mind, MTC intends to showcase a wide variety of its offerings, as well as a large number of PC peripherals and accessories at Gitex. Already scheduled to take space on the firm’s stand are wireless products, motherboards, monitors, optical drives, and notebooks. “We have our own Orange brand which breaks into 15 categories of products. And we are also the sole distributor of ASUS optical disc drives, wireless products, AMD motherboards and notebooks,” says Salah Kuhail, managing director at MTC. “Likewise, we have recently started distributing ASroch motherboards, for which we are planning to become the number one distributor in the Middle East.” Gitex has always been important to the success and expansion of MTC in the Middle East, according to Kuhail. “Ever since 1994, MTC hasn’t missed a Gitex. That’s because we realise how influential this event is for the computer market in the Middle East and the GCC in particular. Gitex has played a major role in our success throughout the years; it was the connection point between MTC and its customers and partners all over the region,” he says. MTC intends to complete plenty of presentations on its Orange brand during the five days of the show. These will include product overviews and future plans for the product line. “We intend to launch innovative and contemporary products under the Orange brand new collection, such as wireless products, digital camcorders, LCD models and much more. We’ll be telling people about these plans at Gitex,” says Kuhail. “MTC will also offer Gitex Dubai’s attendees special offers on ASUS and Orange PCs, and will also give away LCD monitors with specially-configured systems,” he adds. MTC has been selling computer hardware since 1994. The company provides information technology solutions for many major corporate sectors in the Middle East. MTC started its business in Dubai with one small office, but today it operates a wide network of branches, offices and showrooms.
