Panasonic demos Blue Ray for crowd

Located in Hall 3, the main attraction on the Panasonic and Al Futtaim Panatech stand this year’s show is its Blue Ray technology products, which are being shown for the first time in the Middle East at Gitex 2005. Blue Ray technology, also known as Blu-ray Disc (BD), is a next-generation optical disc format developed to enable recording, rewriting and playback of high-definition video (HD). The format is likely to become a standard for PC data storage and high-definition movies.

Located in Hall 3, the main attraction on the Panasonic and Al Futtaim Panatech stand this year’s show is its Blue Ray technology products, which are being shown for the first time in the Middle East at Gitex 2005. Blue Ray technology, also known as Blu-ray Disc (BD), is a next-generation optical disc format developed to enable recording, rewriting and playback of high-definition video (HD). The format is likely to become a standard for PC data storage and high-definition movies. At the show, Panasonic and Al Futtaim Panatech will also introduce next-generation products and solutions for the quickly evolving broadband era, in areas ranging from security to communications, home entertainment, digital AV and networking products and systems and services that the vendor claims will revolutionise the business and home world. The vendor and its local partner also intend to use Gitex to focus on its digital products, such as its 3D approach, SD (secure digital) memory cards, DVDs and digital televisions.
