HP will be welcoming customers of all sizes to its giant stand at Gitex this year. The regional IT powerhouse will showcase not just new products, but also the value it brings to the market through the creation and delivery of complete IT solutions that meet the needs of customers both large and small. “At the consumer level, HP is driving the convergence of multimedia content into integrated product solutions,” says Joseph Hanania, managing director at HP Middle East. “In the SMB space HP offers turnkey solutions — alongside application and business partners — that serve SMB business needs. For enterprise clients, HP is perfectly positioned to talk about the IT issues that matter to them such as performance, availability, accessibility and security,” he adds. HP’s cutting-edge range of PCs, notebooks, digital cameras, handheld devices and printers will be on display, with product experts on hand to answer questions on features and functionality. For Hanania, promotion of the products goes hand-in-hand with customer education on the strength and availability of post-sales support that HP offers in the Middle East. “The SMB space is also a huge and important segment for HP in the Middle East,” Hanania says. “Gitex is a great opportunity for these companies to see the turnkey solutions that we can offer, which take away a lot of the growing pains associated with starting or building up a business. With bundled solutions, SMBs are in a position to know what their IT costs will be.” At the enterprise level, HP’s focus and expertise in core vertical markets is reaping rewards. As such, HP’s enterprise team will be on hand at Gitex to discuss with existing and potential clients the group of solutions, methodologies, architectures, and implementations that customers can embrace as they undertake the journey towards becoming an adaptive enterprise. “As companies embark on this journey they start seeing more efficiency, greater speed, better security and increased availability. Most importantly, this journey also allows companies to measure the reduction in cost that highlights the improving return on IT investment,” Hanania explains. “Companies first need to understand the technology environment they are dealing with and then explore the benefits of standardisation. This allows costs to be driven down and efficiency to be driven up,” he adds.
