Fun and mobile productivity are the key themes Sony will push at this year’s Gitex as it looks to highlight its new ‘VAIO T’ ultra-portable notebook and its hot new consumer electronics devices. On the computing front, Sony will target mobile professionals with its latest lightweight notebook, the VAIO T. “The VAIO T-series is both built for productivity and equipped for entertainment,” says Masaru Tamagawa, managing director of Sony Gulf FZE. “This series of notebook PCs has it all: stamina, power and it’s a smart size for the mobile professional. The 1.38kg, compact and lightweight T-series models are ideal for active lifestyles and geared for switching from compiling data to DVD playback with the simple touch of a button.” In addition to demonstrating and selling its products at Gitex Shopper, the firm is also travelling to Gitex to draw attention to its latest line-up of Network Walkman mobile audio players, its PlayStation Portable handheld gaming device and its most recent Cyber-Shot and Handycam digital still and video cameras.
