Source IT will focus on launching new products by i-mate and Navigon at Gitex. The company will unveil new models from i-mate, one of these being the ‘Charcoal Jam’, which has a black body and packs in an additional 64Mbytes of RAM. The latest version of Navigon — number five — will also be launched, which is a GPS navigation system for Windows-enabled Pocket PCs. Source IT will also place special focus on improving its on-stand displays, forging promotional tie-ups with major brands, developing its retailer activities and offering customer incentives at the show. “Because of the spectacular growth in demand for mobile and technology products and services in the Middle East, new devices and technologies are appearing all the time,” says Ahmed Al Azzawi, director of Source IT. “This abundance of choice makes the role of the retailer all even more crucial. This is why a core part of Source IT’s offering is to work closely with vendors and retailers.” Source IT will also highlight a value-added service called box bundling.
