Solutions Middle East has struck a channel agreement with Middle East Telecoms Company (Metelco). Solutions Middle East will resell the Proteus range of management information software products. Solutions Middle East has some 1,300 clients across the GCC region and a team of more than 40 IT professionals offering best-of-breed technology solutions to companies of all sizes. OSN Sastry, computer telephony (CT) product manager at Solutions Middle East, Dubai, said: “With Proteus, the customer can monitor and generate a unified report of all his communication tools — telephone, mobile, fax messaging, internet and e-mail bandwidth usage.” “As a leading CT solutions provider in the region, one of our aims is to ensure that our products and services are of the highest quality, and that they match the expectations of our clients. We have received a tremendous response from the market and we successfully deployed Proteus in many organisations including Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Hoshan Pan Gulf, and others,” he added. Metelco acts as the Middle East representative agent for CTI Data Group, the vendor behind the Proteus product range. Metelco focuses on the provision, implementation, support and training for CTI’s Proteus call management system in the Middle East. Raad Jaboori, Metelco’s managing director, said: “The level of business activity is expanding at a rapid rate and therefore the need to manage the increasing amount of call and voice data is also becoming important. Solutions Middle East has consistently proved itself over the past decade with in-depth knowledge of the latest communication technology as well as its understanding of the market requirements in the Middle East region.” The Proteus enterprise solution claims to offer customers total visibility of their voice and data costs coupled with the ability to deliver a wide selection of reports that can improve the management, control, efficiency and productivity of their communication networks and technologies. Dubai-based communications and IT specialist ViewNet Technology also added Metelco’s Proteus call management system to its product portfolio earlier this year.
